Nelson Hopkins Medina is a 2017 C/OF with a 5-11 180 lb. frame from Toa Baja, PR who attends Dr. Pedro Albizu Campos. Medium athletic build with good present strength. 6.84 runner, runs very well for a primary catcher, shows lots of quickness defensively, outstanding raw arm strength with a quick exchange, 1.87 best pop time, can improve footwork for better direction to bases on throws. Right handed hitter, hits under control, patient hitter, line drive swing plane with a middle of the field approach, makes consistent square contact, high average approach with occasional gap power. Very interesting all around athlete.
