Will West is a 2016 RHP/SS with a 6-3 185 lb. frame from Niceville, FL who attends Niceville Senior. Large frame with lean, athletic present build and high end physical projection. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.17 seconds. Shows repeatable mechanics on the mound with compact delivery; throws from overtop slot into crossfire, uses lower half well for the most part. Fastball worked 81-84 and topped at 85, creates good plane on pitch and gets some arm side life. Showed sharp CB with 11/5 shape and quality depth; CH shows excellent depth and fading action. Showed solid command of entire arsenal. Hits from very wide spread stance, shifts well into contact and gets on plane well, turns the barrel and has strength in swing with carry to both gaps. Will dip back shoulder to sell out for power some; but mostly clean path with strong contact off the barrel. Worked out defensively in the infield, fielding out front and showing very quick release with solid arm strength up to 80 MPH across the infield. Named to 2015 Southeast Uncommitted Showcase Top Prospect List. Outstanding student.
