Charlie Lugo is a 2014 3B with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Mission, TX who attends Sharyland HS. Medium athletic frame, plenty of room to get stronger. Right handed hitter, straight stance, simple swing mechanics, generates bat speed, aggressive hitter, squares the ball up well, good swing plane, hard line drive contact to all fields, has the hitting tools to continue to develop. 7.87 runner, good hands at the ball, arm strength still developing, must improve foot quickness and speed to stay at third base. Also pitched, slow, balanced delivery, long arm action, low 3/4's arm slot. Fastball to 78 mph, some arm side running action, big sweeping curveball is effective. Bat is his tool. Good student.
