Mitchell McCarthy is a 2013 RHP/SS with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Oviedo, FL who attends Oviedo HS. Medium athletic frame with room to fill. Throws from a 3/4 arm slot on the mound, short arm action, has a glove flip during delivery, balanced online delivery, works quick, pitches to contact, can sink fastball. Has accurate throws across the infield, lateral agility, gets in front of ground balls. Upright high hand start at the plate, aggressive approach at the plate, stays inside the ball well, goes to the opposite field well, doesn't get cheated at the plate. Is a good student.
