Matthew Holderfield is a 2013 LHP/1B with a 5-11 160 lb. frame from Mobile, AL who attends Baker HS. Medium slender athletic build, room to get stronger. Slow paced delivery, long loose arm action, 3/4's arm slot, hitters see the ball in back, arm is loose and easy. Fastball to 82 mph, good arm side running action at times, change up is best pitch, nice arm speed with good late life, short breaking slider. Should keep improving with additional strength, better breaking ball. Good student.
