Patrick Finklestein is a 2015 LHP/OF with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Charleston, SC who attends James Island Charter HS. Medium athletic build, room to get stronger. Cross body delivery, mid 3/4's arm slot, smooth low effort mechanics, can repeat release point more cconsistently. Upper 70's fastball, topped out at 80 mph, big arm side run at times on fastball, tries to work lower corners with fastball but will miss arm side frequently. Short breaking soft slider works as his breaking ball, also cuts his change up for a similar effect. Deceptive pitching style works with better off speed and fine tuned command. Left handed hitter, open start, closes late, rotational swing, spray line drive contact. Excellent student.
