Jabin Smith is a 2014 OF/ with a 5-7 155 lb. frame from Macon, GA who attends Howard. Has a compact frame with an athletic build and good present strength. Displayed good footwork in the outfield with a quick first step and uses his speed to cover lots of ground and run balls down in the gaps. Throws from a lower arm slot with carry and will add more velocity by getting on top of the ball. Has a slightly open stance at the plate, high hands, and has a lead-off contact approach at the plate. He has a direct good swing path making line drive contact to all fields. Has lots of speed which he shows off in the outfield and on the bases. Is a very good student.
