Caleb Wallingford is a 2011 LHP with a 6-3 190 lb. frame from Elkhorn, NE who attends Elkhorn HS. Broad shouldered athletic build, long arms, very good physical projection. Leg raise delivery, slight closed, drifts and loses leverage, quick compact arm in back, loose out front, 3/4's release. Steady mid 80's fastball, touched 87 mph, maintains velocity from the stretch very well, FB mostly straight. Curveball flashes tight spin and break, could develop plus curveball with work, commands CB well to left handed hitters, maintains arm speed on change up. Nice young prospect, should continue to improve. Good student, signed with Kansas State.
