Austin Aune is a 2012 SS/3B with a 6-2 190 lb. frame from Argyle, TX who attends Argyle HS. Excellent athletic build with present strength and projection. Left handed hitter, quiet hitting approach, patient hitter, quick hands, short path to the ball, good balance at contact, ball comes off the bat hard, line drive swing plane, hard contact to all fields. Smooth defensive actions, 6.67 runner, accurate arm with good carry, good balance and footwork, hands a bit hard at present. May outgrow shortstop and looks like a pro third baseman but athletic enough now to stay at shortstop. High level quarterback with a verbal commitment to play both sports at TCU. High ceiling potential if he plays baseball full-time. Good student.
