Ryan Miller is a 2014 C/OF/RHP with a 6-1 160 lb. frame from Sarasota, FL who attends Venice HS. Slender athletic build, very projectable, young look. 6.79 runner, very versatile player. Very quick twitch actions defensively, lateral agility, compact quick release with big arm strength, 1.78 best pop time. Similar high level outfield tools, big carry on strong throws. Looks to have the athleticism and agility to play the middle infield as well. Right handed hitter, busy hand load, short line drive swing, line drive swing plane, high loose finish, pull to mid field contact, hitting tools to improve with additional strength. Also pitched, fast paced leg raise delivery with some crossfire angle at release, high 3/4's arm slot. Fastball was in the upper 80's, topped at 89 mph, have seen up to 91 mph since. Slurve type breaking ball gets good tilt at times, locates it well. Does not catch much due to playing on the same HS/Travel team with fellow top prospect Mike Rivera but could blossom. Good student, verbal commitment to Florida Atlantic.
