Tyler Perez is a 2016 RHP/OF with a 6-0 145 lb. frame from Miami, FL who attends Mater Academy Charter HS. Slender build with plenty of room to get stronger. Long and loose arm action, 3/4's arm slot, has smooth and fluid mechanics with a low effort release. Fastball topped out at 81 mph, nice late sinking life, keeps the ball down in the zone and has an idea how to hit spots. Was consistently in the mid-80's this past summer and fall with a solid low 70's curveball. Shows good athleticism as an outfielder and left handed hitter. 7.32 runner with a good outfield arm. Fluid swing with some gap power at the plate, handles the barrel well and can hit to all fields. Good student. Named to the Showcase Top Prospect Team.
