Bressoud had the top catchers arm in Ft Myers. And there were some of the best high school catchers in the nation there. He popped a 1.78 in the workout with 86 mph velocity. He catches and throws with most any high school catcher we have seen. He is a very athletic 6'1/185 with a close to perfect baseball body. He even runs well for a catcher. His arm and quickness looks just as impressive during the games. At the plate, he displays plus power potential and serious MLB bat speed. There are a few flaws in his swing that can easily be corrected. He showed a tendency to over stride causing problems with off speed stuff. There's no doubt about his hitting ability, just some adjustments that good hitting coaches will iron out in a hurry. Part of the over stride could have been caused by his being sick in Ft Myers. Anyway, this is a big time catching prospect with a very bright future. Could be an early pick with a good Spring showing. For sure he needs to be seen by the highest level scouts in every organization. They're going to like what they see.
