Xavier LeGrant is a 2015 SS/2B with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Charlotte, NC who attends Phillip O Berry Academy Of Technology. Slender athletic build, some present strength with room for more. Right handed hitter, simple swing mechanics, stays inside the ball well but can turn on his pitch as well, very quick hands with strength at contact and hidden power, stays back well on off-speed pitches and maintains full bat speed, hard line drive and gap contact all over the field, very high average hitter with lots of upside. 6.90 runner, quick feet defensively with range, very athletic actions at the ball, has the ability to make the spectacular play, circles the ball well, arm strength best suited for second base. Has really improved across the board. Very talented athlete with skills. Good student, verbal commitment to North Carolina State.
