Connor O'Brien is a 2018 C/OF with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from San Diego, CA who attends Rancho Bernardo. O'Brien has a medium sized frame with some strength. Defensively he has a low set up and stays low through release on his pop throws. O'Brien has a rotational 2 step release on his pop throws with solid catch and throw tools for his age. He has some arm strength with velocity up to 74 MPH. At the plate, O'Brien starts with a slightly open stance and uses a quick bat wrap load to start his swing. He has some bat speed and made hard contact to the pull side in his BP round. O'Brien has some strength in his swing and has some power potential. He's an interesting young catcher with upside.
