Brendan Koester is a 2018 RHP/3B with a 6-1 184 lb. frame from Louisville, KY who attends Eastern HS. Medium build, some present strength with room for more. Full hand drop delivery with a pause at the top, high 3/4's to over the top arm slot, has good direction to the plate. Fastball topped out at 91 mph early, had much better vertical command at 86-88 mph, mostly straight with very good downhill angle. Slider has tight spin and bite, gets over it well with a consistent release point and throws strikes with it. Did not observe a change up. Verbal commitment to Kentucky.
