George Christison is a 2019 OF/LHP/1B with a 5-11 180 lb. frame from Vacaville, CA who attends Vacaville HS. Medium frame with beginnings of strength. Primary outfielder with aggressive footwork while closing to and working through the baseball. Funnels off to side and worked through exchange well. Showed a high energy three-quarters arm slot that created solid carry to the bag at 82 miles per hour. Left handed hitter with an upright, slightly open stance and simple leg lift trigger. Created good linear shift into contact with lower half. Direct hand path to contact with a clean line drive barrel plane. Stays balanced and repeats swing plane well. Showed present strength at contact with bat speed through extension. Primarily worked to each gap showing good jump off the barrel when squared. Also pitched showing a simple side step to high leg lift delivery. Stays balanced at gather and worked to the plate with drop and drive lower half actions. Loose arm circle at take back and released from a high three-quarters arm slot. Fastball generated good downward plane through the zone with occasional run in the upper 70's to low 80's, topped at 82 miles per hour. Curveball showed proper shape with loose spin and some depth in the upper 60's. Tends to slow arm speed slightly with a changeup offering that producing fading action in the low 70's. Looked to challenge hitter with each pitch to the bottom quadrants of the strike zone. Excellent student as well.
