John Webb is a 2017 C/ with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Nicholasville, KY who attends East Jessamine. Medium, athletic frame with projectable present build; good room to fill remaining. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.24 seconds. Sets up to hit from upright, slightly open stance. Showed good bat speed consistently on line drive swing plane, stays balanced throughout mechanics and flashes strength off the barrel when squared up. Repeats swing well and has simple fluidity to it. Showed quick actions behind the plate, receives well and transfers cleanly with quickness and efficiency. Has quick release with solid arm strength down to 2nd base, popped as low as 2.02 seconds. Worked out in the infield as well, shows good footwork to and around the ball, flashes clean actions in hands, crow hops well and throws accurately to 1st base with throws clocked up to 80 MPH. Very good student.
