Alex Sergent is a 2018 1B/RHP/3B with a 6-2 208 lb. frame from Danville, KY who attends Boyle County HS. Large frame with strong, sturdy present build. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.39 seconds. Sets up to hit from even-based stance with relaxed hand set, cocks back into load, strides to slightly closed off, shows good ability to sink hips into swing and create positive launch angles. Shows good bat speed, could stand to shift weight better into contact, looseness to wrists through swing, pull-side approach with good backspin off the barrel when timed up, has strength there. Worked out at 1st base, flashes clean funnel out front, footwork solid around the bag, works through the ball well, quick release across the diamond with throws clocked up to 74 mph.
