Andrew Camacho is a 2017 2B with a 5-6 155 lb. frame from New Bedford, MA who attends Bridgton Academy. Young, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean, projectable build with room to fill throughout. Solid runner, posted a 6.86 60-yard dash. Primary middle infielder, shows same quick-twitch and athleticism defensively, long strides with balance and quick feet ranging up the middle, fields the ball out front and picks it well, quick transfer with a double tap release, very short and compact arm action, gets on top and shows accuracy and carry across. Righthanded hitter, begins with a high hand set and back elbow in the box. Turns front knee as a timing trigger and uncoils well into contact, stays short to the ball with an inside path. Shows feel for the barrel and shows all fields with comfort, lien drive contact coming off, occasionally gets uphill at the ball, shows bat speed and will continue to develop with additional physical strength.
