Kris Sloan is a 2017 OF/RHP with a 5-8 145 lb. frame from Kingwood, TX who attends Kingwood Park HS. Sloan has a smaller frame with a lean slender build. Defensively he throws with a long loose arm action with arm strength up to 78 MPH. Sloan made accurate throws and was online. He showed developing outfield actions with clean transfers and release. At the plate Sloan starts with a square stance and a bent knee crouched start. He strides into contact and attacks the baseball well. He made solid contact to all fields and showed good barrel skills. Sloan made line drive contact and has a high average approach. He showed solid hitting tools and some bat speed. Sloan pitches from a high 3/4 arm slot with a long arm action. He pitches with some effort and uses tall and fall style mechanics. He throws an 11/5 curveball with some bite to it and he threw it for strikes.
