Max Benevides is a 2017 OF with a 5-10 185 lb. frame from Manchester, NH who attends Souhegan Coop. Medium, mature build with broad shoulders and present strength proportioned throughout frame. Ran a 7.77 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, takes long strides moving towards the ball, attacks the ball well, fields the ball to the side and uses a crow hop to gain momentum, upright release, short arm action, mostly arm at release, arm strength projects with additional lower half at release. Righthanded hitter, begins with a wide base and a bent knee stance, medium hand set in the box. Full swing path through the zone with nice quickness to hands, line drive swing plane and generates nice bat speed through the zone. Stays balanced throughout, consistent contact to pull side with carry off the barrel when squared. Very good student.
