Braydon Runion is a 2018 3B/OF, IF, RHP with a 6-0 195 lb. frame from Florence, KY who attends Randall K Cooper. Large frame with a solid, athletic build and present strength throughout. Projects for additional size with strength. Ran a 6.96 sixty yard dash. Primary third baseman with compact, smooth footwork while surrounding the baseball. Clean, soft hands while funneling the baseball out front and to back hand. Smooth glove to hand exchanges while working through transfer. Releases form a mid three-quarters arm slot topping at 85 mph. Throws creates very good on line carry across the infield with accuracy. Flashed solid first step angles to each side with developing range. Right handed hitter with a balanced, straight stance. Lower half fires to baseball with linear actions creating good shift into contact. Clean, line drive swing plane that generates solid bat speed and strength at contact. Consistently squared contact to the middle of the field producing rising line drives between the gaps. Turns the barrel to contact as well creating loud contact off the barrel to the pull side gap. Repeats swing mechanics well with balanced throughout. Very good student. Named to 2016 Ohio Valley Showcase Top Prospect List.
