Sterling Jones is a 2016 SS/RHP/3B with a 6-3 190 lb. frame from League City, TX who attends Clear Springs HS. Has a medium frame, strong lower half, long limbs, and athletic build. Posted a 7.33 60 yard dash. From the infield, short and quick steps to ball, fields the ball out in front. Short arm action on throws with solid arm strength. At the plate, right-handed hitter that starts with a tall upright stance, high hand set, and high back elbow. Steps closed on load and deepens hand set back toward catcher. Takes aggressive swings with raw power to all fields. On the mound, fast paced delivery throwing from a 3/4 arm slot. Solid command of the strike zone, 9/4 sweeping action on curveball, solid depth. Outstanding student.
