Seth Taylor is a 2018 C/MIF with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Nicholasville, KY who attends West Jessamine HS. Large frame with athletic, lean present build; good projection remaining. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.26 seconds. Hits from spread-out, even-based stance with simple leg lift trigger. Loose hands through swing, gets good leverage off of front side and projects well in terms of power. Could stand to incorporate lower half more into swing. Good low set behind the plate, receives well and shows solid direction in lower half, good quick release with solid arm strength, clocked up to 73 MPH and popped as low as 2.01 seconds. Showed good footwork in the infield as well, threw accurately across the diamond up to 77 MPH. Pitched as well, good balance over rubber and gathers self well, creates crossfire in delivery due to closed landing, throws from extended three quarters slot. Fastball worked 74-77 MPH with solid arm side run; worked in curveball with sweeping action and good depth as well. Good student.
