Jordan Nelson is a 2018 3B with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from Ardsley, NY who attends Ardsley HS. Medium-large frame with broad shoulders, athletic frame, projects well physically. Primary third baseman, showed developing actions with measured, balanced steps to the ball. Surrounds ball well, works through the ball well, performed best when charging ball, is a solid athlete. Also worked out in the outfield, has a compact arm-action, releases from a lower arm slot, up to 75 mph in defensive drills. Right handed hitter, deep hands set with slight open stance. Has some hand quickness with quick-twitch athleticism and present hitting tools. Still developing consistent rhythm and timing with lower half, has a full swing. Flashed feel for the barrel, best contact and most consistent results when staying closed and working to the middle of the field. Ran a 7.31 60-yard dash. Very good student.
