Tim Person is a 2019 C/IF, RHP with a 6-4 175 lb. frame from Hudson, MA who attends Hudson High School. Large frame, lean, slender build, athleticism, square shoulders, and room to continue to fill out physically and add strength. Primary catcher, receives out front, gains ground well, full arm action, and an overall quick arm. Showed impressive arm strength up to 76 mph with carry out of the hand and a workout pop time of 2.14. At the plate, started with medium hand set, simple weight shift, and a quick leg lift timing mechanism. Linear swing plane, quick, compact hand path, length of arms extends length of swing. Will continue to improve at the plate with additional strength and rhythm. Also pitched, tall through backside, short stride to the plate, middle of the rubber start, short, compact arm action, and threw from an over the top arm slot. Fastball showed true action at 76-78 mph with minimal effort. Also showed a 12/6 curveball with depth at 68 mph from the same arm slot.
