Alan Marrero is a 2016 C with a 5-8 185 lb. frame from Bayamon, PR who attends International Baseball Academy. Medium, stocky, strongly built frame. Looks the part behind the plate. Ran a 7.42 60 yard dash. Shows an above average throwing arm and gets the ball out quickly from behind the plate. Exchanges the ball quickly and has the footwork for the position. Makes very accurate and consistent throws. Bats right-handed, works from a compact, balanced setup. Pulls the ball well. Gets long at times but flashes bat speed and the ball jumps off his bat. Takes an aggressive swing. Very good student. Named to Top Prospect list.
