Brooks Coetzee is a 2018 OF/SS/RHP with a 6-2 193 lb. frame from Mahomet, IL who attends Mahomet-Seymour HS. Nice athletic build, good combination of strength, looseness and physical projection. Right handed hitter, gets a big hand/body separation over the plate in his load, has a short hands driven swing with limited shift to contact, notable the bat speed he produces with his hands, could really add to hit with more lower body use and fluidity in his load. Runs well and has athletic actions in the outfield, loose projectable arm with good carry on his throws, still developing consistent footwork. Interesting athleticism with young skills that will keep getting better. Good student.
