Kevin Flood is a 2017 SS/3B with a 6-2 180 lb. frame from Indianapolis, IN who attends Cathedral. Large frame with a strong, athletic build. Frame projects for additional strength with continued maturity. Ran a 6.93 sixty yard dash. Primary shortstop, works around the baseball with solid fluidity while surrounding the baseball. Clean glove actions while funneling out front and working to hack hand. High energy release with good arm strength from a three-quarters slot. Topped at 85 mph generating accurate, on line carry across the infield. Right handed hitter with an upright, slightly open stance and high back elbow set. Create good torque while loading to back side. Barrel comes through the zone on a clean, naturally lofted path. Present bat speed and strength at contact that provides loud contact to the gaps. Turned the barrel well to baseball, had a home run to deep left field in batting practice. Shows the barrel control to work the baseball to the opposite field gap as well. Stays balanced throughout swing with simple, repeatable mechanics. Outstanding student as well. Named to 2016 Ohio Valley Showcase Top Prospect List.
