Hector Lozada is a 2017 C/1B with a 5-11 180 lb. frame from Weston, FL who attends Cypress Bay HS. Lozada has a medium sized frame with some strength. Defensively he stands to throw on his pop throws with developing catch and throw actions. Lozada has a longer release with good arm strength up to 78 MPH on his pop throws. He made online throws with carry on the baseball. He also worked out at first base and showed raw actions with good arm strength up to 87 MPH. At the plate, Lozada has a slightly closed stance with a slight crouch. He uses a big rock back load to start his swing with an aggressive swing. Lozada has some bat speed and looks to lift the baseball. He made consistent hard contact and showed some power potential. Excellent student.
