Samuel Fockler is a 2016 C/OF with a 5-11 185 lb. frame from Tequesta, FL who attends Jupiter. Medium frame with very good present build, has athleticism throughout. Sets up to hit with wide base, noisy hands that work well into short swing with fluidity and strength. Good bat speed with very good contact consistently, waits back very well on spin, capable of driving the ball to all fields. Flexible and strong behind the plate, receives well with strong hands that do a good job of holding onto foul tips. Quick footwork with solid transfer and release, popped as low as 2.06 seconds down to 2B, and shows advanced feel for blocking and keeping balls in front of him. Good student.
