Joseph Fortin is a 2017 3B/1B with a 5-10 190 lb. frame from Los Angeles, CA who attends Loyola. Medium-large frame with sturdy, strong build throughout. Advanced strength throughout body. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.58 seconds. Hits with big leg lift trigger, compact swing with bat speed and big strength at contact. Pull approach, fast hands, struck the ball hard with consistently impressive jump off the barrel. Drives the ball into the air with HR power to the pull field. Worked out defensively in the infield, waits back a bit but shows clean footwork. Fields clean, actions work throughout fielding, profiles well at 3B/1B. Charges well. Consistently good arm strength across the diamond, up to 82 MPH with accuracy. Named to 2015 California Underclass Showcase Top Prospect List.
