Joshua Urps is a 2016 MIF/3B with a 5-11 160 lb. frame from Wilton, CA who attends Pleasant Grove. Medium frame, lean build with room to fill, projects well physically. Switch hitter with good ability from both sides, better bat speed and more pop from the right side, more of a contact approach from left side. Lands softly on front foot, rotational swing, quiet hands and minimal load, quick and loose from both sides. Good body control to defensive actions, charges ball well, plays shallow effectively in infield drawn in situations, quick transfer and accurate throws. Good student.
