Parker Shanahan is a 2017 C/1B/RHP with a 5-10 175 lb. frame from Lakewood Ranch, FL who attends Cardinal Mooney HS. Large frame with excellent present build, still projects well. Hits from very wide, spread out stance with high hands and toe tap trigger. Short to the ball with hands, has feel for the barrel, will work to all fields with line drive approach. Has strength off the barrel at contact and flashes ability to extend through contact. Shows very quick arm on the mound, short and clean arm circle up to higher slot, gets downhill well with FB's ranging in the 77-80 MPH range. Flashes downer CB in high 60's with quality spin and overall feel. Good athlete on the mound as well. Sets up well behind the plate, receives very well and presents good target to pitcher. Solid athleticism throughout smooth defensive actions, popped as low as 2.01 down to 2B with good footwork. Very good student.
