Andrew Paxton is a 2017 3B/ with a 5-7 210 lb. frame from Lafayette, IN who attends Mccutcheon. Medium frame with a solid build and present strength. Ran a 8.06 sixty yard dash. Primary third baseman with deliberate, fundamental footwork while surrounding the baseball. Clean glove actions while funneling the baseball with developing fluidity. Gets the baseball out quickly while working through transfer. Releases from a three-quarters arm slot topping at 73 mph. Throws produce some carry across the infield with accuracy. Right handed hitter with a spread, straight stance. Creates linear shift into contact with lower half. Direct, compact path to contact with a line drive plane through extension. Consistently turned the barrel to baseball producing some hard contact to the pull side gap. Flashed the ability to work the baseball to the opposite field gap when maintaining a strong hand position at contact. Good student as well.
