Noah Brocato is a 2016 3B/1B with a 6-3 180 lb. frame from Labadie, MO who attends Pacific. Large, athletic frame with present strength throughout. At the plate shows a balanced stance with a higher back elbow and hand set. Solid presence at the plate. Hands launch to inside off the barrel and emphasizes bottom hand in front at contact. BP and game were consistent with a mid-field approach. Shows the ability to reach gaps at times. Quiet lower half mechanics and stays balanced throughout swing. Has plus pop with carry when attacking the ball out front with extension. Shows hitting tools that will improve. From the infield has a longer release with accuracy, topped at 78 mph across. Has stationary actions and funnels ball well when out in front. Shows a quick first step break on groundballs. Footwork becomes more deliberate when groundballs are deeper into the hole. Good student as well.
