Nick Allen is a 2017 SS/2B with a 5-9 154 lb. frame from San Diego, CA who attends Francis W. Parker HS. Shorter young build. Defensive wizard at shortstop, has all the tools but instincts are better than the tools, very aggressive moving to the ball, elite level hands and exchange, plays with imagination and flair and can make plays that few can make, always on balance with outstanding footwork, plays shortstop differently than other players at this level. Right handed hitter, gets to his front side early with a contact oriented swing, handles the barrel well and will flash surprising pull pop when squared up, line drive approach. 6.73 runner, speed plays up in all regards, base running instincts match his defensive instincts. Good student, verbal commitment to Southern California. Selected for the Perfect Game All-American Classic.
