Mauro Conde is a 2016 OF/C with a 6-0 205 lb. frame from San Juan, PR who attends Orangewood Christian HS. Big strong athletic build, especially strong in the lower half, catcher's look. Right handed hitter, gets loaded and coiled well, smooth swing, works the ball mid field and opposite field, line drive swing plane, ball comes off the barrel well, has the strength and bat speed to let the barrel go for more pull oriented power. Shows good arm strength from the outfield from a long over the top release point, does have some catching experience in his background. Bat and power potential are his tools. Good student.
