David McAnelly is a 2016 SS/3B, 2B with a 5-10 155 lb. frame from Lexington, KY who attends Henry Clay. Medium, lean, solidly built athletic frame with room to fill out. Good speed. Ran a 7.15 60 yard dash. Has good carry on his throws and makes all the plays consistently at shortstop. Moves well and has the glove actions to play shortstop. Has a short arm action and a quick transfer. Bats right-handed, works from a narrow, open setup and gets his hands going early. Knows how to spin on the fastball and finds the barrel consistently. Stays compact and makes line drive contact. Excellent student.
