Jake Peloquin is a 2015 SS/2B, OF with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Chandler, AZ who attends Basha. Medium frame, lean wiry build with loose strength. Good balance at the plate with a well controlled swing, drives the gaps well with a short stroke and quick hands, sound swing with good quick twitch acceleration of levers. Defensively his arm stands out, short arm action cuts down on release time without sacrificing velocity, good carry to throws and showed good accuracy from both the outfield and the infield. Loose athleticism to all of his actions in every phase of the game. Good student. Named to the Sunshine West Top Prospect Team.
