Jordan Quijano is a 2016 3B/2B with a 5-10 175 lb. frame from Miramsr, FL who attends Pembroke Pines Charter HS. Medium, young build with athletic frame and actions. Still developing body with room for additional strength. Primary infielder that shows soft hands and natural infield actions. Displayed a strong arm, although inconsistent footwork led to some errant throws in workout. Still improving with defensive tools to work with. Right handed hitter, works from a simple, slightly open setup. Gets a bit spread at contact, still stays balanced throughout the swing. Flashes some bat speed and a handsy swing geared for lots of contact to all fields. Also pitches and arm works well, simple repeatable delivery with some energy. Late hand separation and slightly crossfire release provide some deception. Ran fastball up to 81 mph in brief outing. Excellent student.
