Zach Quintana is a 2012 RHP/3B, MIF with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Las Vegas, NV who attends Arbor View HS. Strong physical build, mature look and build. Standard leg raise delivery, compact arm circle, hides the ball well, quick arm coming through. Upper 80's fastball, topped out at 91 mph, good late sinking life at times, gets same type of nice sink on change up, good feel for change. Mid 70's curveball shows hard downer bite at times, three solid pitches, not always consistent with release point, especially on fastball. Showed solid infield actions, feet work well, fields through the ball, quick release, solid arm. Pull approach hitting, long extended swing, looks to lift. Good student, verbal commitment to San Diego State.
