Matthew Menard is a 2012 C/OF with a 5-11 195 lb. frame from Bridge City, TX who attends Bridge City HS. Very strong, stocky build, especially in the lower half. 6.68 runner, deceptively athletic and fast for build, agile behind the plate with good bounce and energy, plenty of arm strength, quick transfers, solid footwork, 1.89 best pop. Right handed hitter, bent knee stance, still start, back side hitter with uppercut/pull approach, good bat speed, can drive the ball, would benefit from more hitting rhythm to start swing. Very good all around athlete with all the tools. Excellent student.
