2003 World Showcase
Juergens is a big strong catcher with some good athletic ability. He even ran a 7.12 in Ft Myers. He has a very strong arm and acctually popped better in the games than he did in the workout. He's a 2 flat game thrower. He can really swing the bat and with serious power. The ball jumps off his bat in a hurry and we've seen him hit some 400'+ in the past with the wood. He won one of our homerun hitting contests earlier this year. In Ft Myers he hit some visious line drives. He only needs to develop a little more flexability behind the plate and he'll have the whole package. A definite DI catcher with a pro future. Should get some serious draft interest this year. His raw power ranks right up near the head of the 03 class
