Carlos Gonzalez (2015, LHP, Puerto Rico Baseball Academy) worked three innings of one run baseball, topping out at 87 mph and showing a sharp slider.

Joshua Parker (2015, RHP, Pope John Paul II) hit 85 mph with his fastball in his three inning stint, allowing two runs along the way.

Jordan Ramus (2015, RHP, Carrollwood Day) showed off an 86-88 mph fastball in his three inning outing, surrendering three hits and one run in the process.

Matthew DiNenna (2016, SS/RHP, Martin County)touched 84 mph in his one inning appearance to close out the afternoon action, showing off a solid curveball as well. He struck out one batter. 

Ross Granger (2015, LHP, Erath) picked up two singles for the Navy squad on Saturday, showing a distinct ability to stay inside the ball and use the whole field. 

Jonathan Artigues (2015, SS, St. Stanislaus) also picked up two singles for the Black team.

Kelly Green vs. Red

David Juechter (2016, RHP/OF, Nyack Senior) posted three scoreless frames on the mound, striking out three while not allowing a base runner. But, he was most impressive at the plate where he picked up two hits, continuing his good hitting in this event.

Hayden Hamm (2016, RHP, Pascagoula) tossed two scoreless frame, allowing just one hit and striking out three. He worked at 80-83 mph with his fastball and mixed in a solid curveball. 

Tyler Wise (2015, C, Spain Park) was one of the hitting stars of the day, driving the ball hard multiple times, including a triple and a single. He has a quick bat and a sound approach at the plate.

Freddy Sabido (2015, LHP, Staten Island, NY) has a lean athletic build with room to fill out topped at 81 with his fastball with good arm speed. Sabido also shows big time power at the plate hitting a homerun and finishing up 1-2 with a run scored

Jack Silva (2015, 1B/OF, Katy, TX) went 1 for 2 with a double.  Silva gets extended through the ball.

Conner Dunbar (2015, MIF, Tallahassee, FL) showed a nice short swing with good bat speed., he was 1 for 2 with a run scored.


Red vs Steel Game Highlights

Konnor Balch (2016, RHP, Gainsville, FL) has good arm side run on his fastball that topped at 79.  He strick out 3 in 3 innings.

Eilliott Cutillas (2015, C/1B, Miami, FL) went 2 for 3 with a double showing good bat speed and line drive swing plane.

Kennet Sorenson (2017, C/OF, Smoke Rise, GA) went 2 for 3 at the plate. He does a good job staying inside the baseball.

Bryce Benedict (2015, MIF, Tampa, FL) followed up his 2 for 3 showing on Saturday with another 2 for 3 performance on Sunday showing the same barrel control and line drive swing plane.

Garrett Horton (2015, C/1B, Oklahoma City, OK) went 3 for 3 and showed good power potential as 2 of his hits went for doubles.

Adrian Mayans (2015, SS/OF, Miami, FL) went 2 for 2 with a run scored showing good bat speed and contact.

Blake Hodgens (2015, LHP, Wesley Chapel, FL) sat in the low 80's touching 85 and mixed in a good split finger.  Had control of all four pitches as he also mixed in a curveball and change up.

David Santos (2015, INF, Thomasville, GA) went 2 for 2 with a double and run scored,  He showed good bat control and stayed inside the ball well.



Texas Orange vs White Game Highlights

Andrew Kane (2015,  2015, Windermere, FL) has an athletic lean frame with room to fill out.  Touched 89 with the fastball working mainly in the 85-87 range with good deception.  He also mixed in a 11/5 curveball and a change up primarly against left handed hitters.

Michael Falcon (2016, RHP, Tampa, FL) threw three innings touching 83 with his fastball and pitching at 80-82.  Flashed curveball potential with 12/6 spin and depth.

Tyler Dyson (2016, RHP, Bradenton, FL) also touched 93 with his fastball using a good online delivery.

Brad Stewart (2015, OF, Savannah, GA), Ryan Stark (2016, RHP/SS, Wellington, FL), Mason Moyer (2015, 1B/RHP, Deleon Springs, FL) Dylan Macfarquhar (2016, 3B/1B, Palm Beach Gardens, FL) all had 1 hit for the Texas Orange Team.

Tyler Shuck (2017, RHP, Cape Coral, FL) followed up an impressive BP showing by topping out at 82 on the mound.  The projectable athlete has two way potential on the mound and at the plate.  He struck out 5 in 3 innings.


Black vs. Kelly Green

Jacob Eichacker (2015, RHP, IMG Academy) worked mostly at 80-82 mph with his fastball, showing good balanced through his delivery and feel for his breaking ball in his two strong innings of work.

Adam Saks (2015, RHP, Pine Crest) consistently reached 87 mph with his fastball, working steadily between 83-85 mph and showing feel for a curveball and changeup.

David Juechter (2016, RHP/OF, Nyack Senior) picked up three hits in as many at-bats on Sunday. 

Hayden Hamm (2016, RHP/MIF, Pascagoula) also picked up two hits for the Kelly Green team. A.J. Dunham (2016, 3B, Moorestown) also picked up two hits. 

Adam Weekley (2016, SS, Jesuit) picked up two singles for the Black team.

Ryan Stark (2016, RHP, Wellington) touched 82 mph in his three scoreless innings of work. He also struck out three batters

Tyler Dyson (2016, SS, Braden River) picked up two hits, a double and single.

Nicholas Baldor (2016, OF, Jesuit) picked up two singles, showing above average bat speed and a sound approach.

Doug Sandberg (2015, OF, Bloomingdale) also picked up two hits.

Zack Chastain (2016, OF, Prestonwood Christian Academy) collected two hits for the Teal squad.

Dylan Leonard (2015, INF, Land O Lakes)was one of the big offensive standouts, picking up two doubles in his game.

Adam Moore (2015, 3B/RHP, Kings Ridge Christian) tossed three scoreless frames, striking out two and reaching 84 mph with his fastball.

Tommy Dolan (2015, RHP, Damonte Ranch) started the game with four scoreless innings of one hit baseball, striking out three and touching 81 mph with his fastball.

Gus Cunningham (2016, SS/RHP, Canterbury) pitched the game's final inning, reaching as high as 83 mph, and mixing a changeup and curveball. He did not allow a hit.

Johnny D'Amelio (2016, RHP, Barron Collier) racked up four scoreless innings, allowing just one hit in the process. He worked primarily at 80-82 mph with his fastball and mixed a solid breaking ball.

Bryan Eberle (2016, RHP, Canterbury) struck out six batters in his four innings, allowing just one run in the process. He worked between 79-82 mph with his fastball. 

Conner Dunbar (2015, SS, Lawton Chiles) went 2-3 with two singles on the day.

National Academic Batting Practice Part 2

The following players stood out during Batting Practice at the National Academic Showcase.

Rey Pascual (2015, C, Atlanta, GA) makes solid contact  with good balance and extension, has an aggressive approach.

Freddy Sabido (2015, LHP/OF, Staten Island, NY) has good power and should develop more as his lean frame fills out.  Has present bat speed.

Gavin Crimmins (2015, MIF, Cumming, GA) flashed good hitting tools including bats peed and a good bat path to the ball.

Zach Chastain (2016, OF/2B, Frisco, TX) has a contact approach at the plate with a smooth line drive swing plane.

Eugene Brandon "Brad" Stewart II (2015, OF/SS, Savannah, GA) made  solid contact with a line drive swing plane and solid bat speed.

Nicholas Baldor (2016, OF, Tampa, FL) has an aggressive swing with good bat speed.  Works mid field with his approach and repeats swing.

Tristan Capocci (2017, SS, Villa Rica, GA) is an intriguing 2017 showing a clean bat path and good bat speed.  Has present power and more should develop more as he produced crisp line drive results during his round.

Adam Moore (2015, INF, Alpharetta, GA) showed a nice line drive swing plane with good contact, flashed good bat speed.

Michael Ciancio (2015, INF, Kent, WA) has a short compact swing with good bat speed.  Makes solid contact and power projects.

Matthew White (2015, C/1B, Dallas, TX) makes very hard contact with a good line drive swing.  He consistently squared up the ball and has present strength in body.

John McKenna (2016, 1B, Parkland, FL) has a projectable power bat, hits line drives to all fields and will continue to develop power.

 Tyler Shuck (2017, RHP/3B, Cape Coral, FL) listed as a primary pitcher, but he showed his bat could be the tool.  Has plus bat speed from the right side and developing bat speed on the left.  Took solid round from both sides of plate producing hard line drive contact.




National Academic Batting Practice Part 1

The following players stood out during Batting Practice at the National Academic Showcase.

William Wallace (2016, OF, Richmond, GA) has an aggressive approach with good bat speed and flashed power potential.

Alex Gionis (2015, SS/OF, Tampa, FL) has a short swing with good bat speed.  Makes solid contact.  Good hitter that stays balanced and good extension.

Ravi Bakhai (2015, RHP/MIF, Weston, FL)has good bat speed with good hands.  Shows ability to drive ball and could develop more.

Trent Bryan (2015, MIF, Miami, FL) showed a very fast bat with a line drive swing plane, makes solid contact to all fields.  Power projects.

Trent Herzog (2015, C, Pembroke Pines, FL) has a pull approach with good bat speed and power potential.

Adrian Mayans (2015, MIF, Miami, FL) showed good tools with good bat speed.  Good approach with best results to the middle of the field.

Jason Allbery (2015, INF, Omaha, NE) the Creighton recruit to a solid round of batting practice showing off a line drive swing plane with good bat speed and extension.  Made solid contact to the gaps.

Cole Brook (2015, Highland Ranch, CO) has good bat speed with a short compact swing.  Has an aggressive approach and makes good contact.

Michael Arencibia (2016, C, Coral Gables, FL) has a short swing with good bat speed.  Made consistent mid field contact.


11-Navy vs. 12-Red Highlights

Davis Brown (2015, RHP, Gulliver Schools) flashed a power arm, working at 85-86 mph with his fastball from an over the top arm slot. He showed good command and mixed two speeds of breaking ball, and a solid changeup.

Ross Granger (2015, LHP, Erath) had an impressive day on the hill, striking out six batters and working at 79-80 mph with his fastball. 

Matthew Hosman (2015, RHP, Phillips Academy) touched 84 mph with his fastball, working three innings of two run baseball. He showed good arm speed and sink on his fastball.

Jason Allbery (2015, Creighton Preparatory)showed off one of the more lively fastballs on the day, pitching at 84-85 mph with his fastball. He also mixed in a good curveball and changeup.

Garrett Horton (2015, C, Casady HS) picked up two hits on Saturday, including a double. He showed good bat speed and a solid approach.

Bryce Benedict (2015, RHP, Carrollwood Day)connected with two singles in as three at-bats on Saturday, showing good barrel accuracy and a line drive approach. Benedict also pitched three scoreless innings on the mound, striking out three and touching 81 mph with his fastball.

13-Royal vs. 14-Steel

Brian Brown (2016, RHP, Countryside HS) was impressive at a PG event again on Saturday, following his strong showing the the East Memorial Day tournament last weekend in Fort Myers. Brown reached 89 mph with his fastball, working consistently at 86-88. He also showed off a sharp curveball and solid average changeup. He pitched three scoreless frames of one hit baseball. 

Duncan Jakubowski (2015, RHP, Holy Trinity Catholic) tossed the most effective outing of this game, pitching four scoreless innings while not allowing a hit and striking out five batters. He reached 78 mph with his fastball and showed a good for for his secondary pitches. 

Collin Maynard (2015, RHP, TL Hanna) did not allow an earned run in three innings of work on Saturday. He touched 85 mph with his fastball, working consistently between 81-84. He also mixed in a sharp 71 mph curveball and a changeup.

Diego Irizarry (3B, Cupeyville HS) doubled in two trips to the plate on Saturday, showing a solid gap to gap approach and good athleticism. 

Hunter Creech (2015, OF, Carrollwood Day) picked up two hits in as many at-bats on Saturday morning, showed a patient, line drive approach.
