CARTERSVILLE, Ga. - Outfielder and class of 2015 prospect Eric Feliz has been on the college baseball radar for quite some time now, but his long recruiting process has come to an end as he announced he will take his game to South Bend, Ind. and become one of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.

The No. 71 ranked prospect in the country for the class of 2015 and top-ranked prospect in the class out of New Jersey started hearing from Notre Dame this past fall and things started to pick up.

The more Feliz heard from Notre Dame and learned more about the school, the more he fell in love with the idea of being a Notre Dame athlete, giving high remarks to the school's fan base and athletic tradition, among many other aspects.

"They have great academics and a great baseball program," said Feliz. "They just moved to the ACC. That was a big thing for me because it's probably the best conference in the country, competition-wise."

The Englewood Cliffs, NJ native is happy to be done with the recruiting process, but said it was never stressful, just a long process.

"I just felt that whenever I found the right place for me then I make my decision," Feliz said. "I grew to love Notre Dame, and the rest is history."

Feliz has attended thirteen Perfect Game events, including the 2013 Jr. National Showcase. He will attend the 2014 National Showcase in Fort Myers, Fla. in June. "I think because of all the connections Perfect Game has with scouts, it gives you a better chance of getting noticed," Feliz said.

Feliz is Notre Dame's 8th known commit in the 2015 class and 3rd currently in the top 100. Their 2015 recruiting class is currently ranked 13th nationally
