Oklahoma State historically is one of the nation's premier college baseball programs with 19 College World Series appearances and one national title, captured in 1959. But a quick look at OSU's recent history paints a much different picture, with the Cowboys having not been back to Omaha, Neb., since the '99 campaign.

It's only natural, that after parting ways with head coach Frank Anderson, the Cowboys would look to someone with the last name Holliday to resurrect a suddenly fallen program. Tom Holliday, who now serves as pitching coach at North Carolina State, spent a grand total of 26 seasons as either an assistant or head coach at OSU, also helping guide the Cowboys to a whopping 11 CWS appearances.

OSU's newest head coach, Tom's son, Josh Holliday? Yeah, he has quite the Cowboy-esque resume to be the perfect fit for this program at this point. Josh earned a very good reputation while playing catcher for the Cowboys in the late 1990s. And if superstition is your thing, go ahead and remember that Holliday happened to be a key contributor on OSU's last two CWS clubs.
