This list is based on impressions from Syracuse and is a snapshot look at what went on during the 2012 East Coast Professional Showcase, not an overall summary of where these prospects stand in the big picture.


Position Players

SS Oscar Mercado (Tampa, FL):
Showed advanced hitting skills and plus speed on the bases in addition to his usual defensive excellence.

OF Austin Meadows (Grayson, GA): Swung the bat very, very well; short and strong swing and handled top pitchers well; stock up.

OF Clint Frazier (Loganville, GA): Didn’t lift ball much but we know he can do that, outfield arm strength is peerless.
