Players urged to keep info updated

Current players with biographical profiles on www.perfectgame.org  are urged to keep those profiles relevant and up-to-date.

College coaches and professional scouts require the most complete and updated biographical information on a player, and keeping a profile relevant is extremely beneficial to the player.

As an example, if a player hasn’t been to a Perfect Game event for a year or two, it is quite likely that player’s height and weight has changed over time, perhaps his grades have improved or perhaps he has made a college commitment, and those details need to be noted.

There are two ways a player can update his profile:

>> If he has been entered in a Perfect Game tournament, once his coach adds him to the roster the player will get an e-mail with instructions on how to update his information or how to create a free account.

>> The other way for players to update their information is to first set-up a free or paid account at www.perfectgame.org if the player does not already have one.

Once an account is established, the player can sign-in for extended access on the website, and click on “My Account” in the far upper right-hand corner. Once there, the player should click on “Add a Player to this Account” where he can either enter his code for access or request a code.

NOTE FROM JUPITER:  We have received numerous questions from parents at the WWBA World Championships about why their son's name on the team rosters is not linked to their profile in the PG database.  Per the above, it is simple process that the player must initiate himself.  Once it is done, the player has the ability to both update his own information and to have that information easily seen by college coaches and professional scouts.
