2017 Top Prospects

Kel Bordwine  P - 2017 - Cypress, TX
Rice

Bordwine was excellent on the mound, working 82-86 MPH consistently across four innings and absolutely pounding the bottom part of the strike zone to both sides of the plate. He also showed a sharp tilting slider and a good curveball with big depth; commanding both very well.

Jeff Wilson  RHP - 2017 - Plano, TX
Grayson County College

At 6-foot-4, 210-pounds, Wilson is extremely physical with good projection remaining as well. He worked 83-86 MPH on the mound, touching 87 MPH, with good downhill plane and arm side life. He also mixed in a good curveball with downer shape and solid bite.

Allbry Major  OF - 2017 - Indianapolis, IN
Xavier

Major showed some of the best raw arm strength of the event, throwing 91 MPH from the outfield with evident athleticism, due in part to the 6.75 seconds 60 yard dash he ran. He also showed a fastball on the mound that got up to 84 MPH with lots of cut.

Christophe Senghor  OF - 2017 - Peachtree City, GA

Senghor is an impressive raw athlete that turned in one of the best outfield velocities (88 mph) and in the 60 yard dash (6.80). He's more raw at the plate with an inside out swing that should continue to develop with additional strength.

Tyler Kisner  LHP - 2017 - Guthrie, OK

Kisner's highly projectable frame and loose arm allowed him to show pretty good velocity both in the outfield, where he threw 87 MPH, and on the mound, where he reached 83 MPH with both a sharp curveball and deceptive changeup.

Austin Nichols  RHP - 2017 - Athens, AL
North Alabama

Nichols is extremely physical with good strength, and showed a very loose arm on the mound which helped him work 82-84 MPH with his fastball, touching as high as 86 MPH. Flashed very good curveball with big depth in addition to a changeup that fell off the table.

Parker Shannon  C - 2017 - Strongsville, OH
Mercyhurst

Shannon took some of the louder swings of the event, generating excellent bat speed with leverage out front, creating deep drives to left and center fields with lots of carry and power. He also showed well behind the plate, popping 1.92 down to 2nd base and throwing 78 MPH.

Shota Barbeau  OF - 2017 - Atlanta, GA
Oglethorpe University

Bota ran extremely well, posting a 6.48 seconds 60 yard dash time, and that speed played in game situations as well. He also showed very well defensively, with clean actions and routes in the outfield, with arm strength that topped out at 84 MPH.


2018 Top Prospects

Kevin Casey  OF - 2018 - Jupiter, FL
Haverford College

Casey's arm strength was nearly unmatched in this event, as he worked 84-89 MPH consistently on the mound, with a sharp curveball, tight slider, and easy changeup that fell off the table. He mixed all of his pitches well, and also showed big time power in batting practice.

Evan Veal  OF - 2018 - Hoover, AL
Jacksonville State

Veal impressed in nearly every facet of the workouts which he did in it's entirety in approximately 10 minutes. He showed a strong, accurate arm from both the outfield and infield with good arm strength up to 89 and 88 respectively. He posted a 6.70 time in the 60 yard dash as well with good bat speed and strength at the plate.

Brendon Davis  1B - 2018 - Laurel, MD
Southern

Davis took a very loud round of batting practice, consistently squaring the ball up with authority and jump off the barrel with very good power to the opposite field, rare for his age group. He also showed quality athleticism with firm throws at 1st base.

Chaz Bertolani  UT - 2018 - Alpharetta, GA
Lipscomb

Bertolani showed extremely well behind the plate, with explosion out of his crouch and quality footwork, both helping him to pop a 1.85 second time in addition to a strong arm up to 76 MPH. He had very good actions in the infield as well as quality hitting tools, giving him a very good all-around performance.

Luke McDevitt  3B - 2018 - Monroe, GA
Young Harris College

McDevitt was one of the better all-around performers, showing a very quick bat when hitting with strong jump off the barrel to all fields. He also ran a sub-7 60 yard dash and took a clean infield, while working 82-85 MPH on the mound with a sharp curveball and solid command.

Parker Garrison  RHP - 2018 - Birmingham, AL

Garrison's strong, physical works well on the mound, where he has good drive and direction to the plate, working 82-85 MPH with his fastball from a compact, quick arm stroke. He showed a sharp, downer curveball with 12/6 shape and hard bite as well.

Holton McGaha  LHP - 2018 - Danielsville, GA
Mercer

McGaha did a very good job of attacking hitters on the mound with a fastball that worked 80-84 MPH with significant, heavy arm side life. The arm and delivery both work well, and he showed a full arsenal of pitches, including a very sharp downer curveball and a deceptive changeup.

Jarrett Blunt  RHP - 2018 - Ottumwa, IA
Iowa Central CC

Blunt is a highly projectable athlete who worked up to 86 MPH on the mound with very good life to the arm side and a balanced delivery. His curveball showed 11/5 shape with sharp break. He looked very natural in the outfield as well, with a strong arm up to 88 MPH and easy actions.

Jun Choi  C - 2018 - Greenwood Village, CO
Uncommitted

Choi showed some big thunder when hitting, taking a big swing with lots of intent and bat speed, and showing the ability to drive the baseball deep. He creates very good separation in his load and torques his hips well, showing very good hitting tools throughout.

Dakoda Grove  OF - 2018 - Winter Garden, FL
Bethune-Cookman/St. Louis CC-Meramec

Grove had one of the stronger arms of the event, throwing 89 MPH from the outfield and complementing that arm strength with smooth, easy actions. He also worked 80-84 MPH on the mound with a long, quick arm stroke, mixing in a sharp-tilting slider as well.

Kyle Petri  LHP - 2018 - Lighthouse Point, FL
University of Chicago

Petri showed very fluid arm action on the mound with an easy delivery, working 79-83 MPH with late life to the arm side and quality control. He flashed a very good slider as well, with sharp depth and lots of feel to throw it whenever he wanted to.

Carson Reeder  RHP - 2018 - Gulf Breeze, FL
Uncommitted

Reeder worked a consistent 82-84 MPH on the mound, topping 86 mph, showing good cutting action to the glove side with control. He mixed in a sharp curveball with 12/6 shape and good depth; generating lots of swings and misses on the pitch when down in the zone.

Justin Ruble  RHP - 2018 - Tomball, TX
Texas A&M

With a very physical 6-foot-5, 225-pound frame, Ruble certainly has the physicality and arm strength to be a good pitching prospect. Working 80-84 MPH on the mound and touching 86 MPH with his fastball, he also flashed a very good change-of-pace breaking ball.


2019 Top Prospects

Thomas Keehn  SS - 2019 - Highland, MD
Duke

Keehn showed well across several facets during this event. He showed big time power when hitting with jump off the barrel to all fields; clean actions defensively at shortstop with a strong arm across up to 86 MPH, and threw on the mound with a fastball that worked 83-87 MPH in addition to a sharp breaking ball.

Brandon Smith  RHP - 2019 - Woodstock, GA
Florida Atlantic/Northwest Florida State College

Smith showed legitimate two-way potential, working 86-88 MPH on the mound with a clean delivery and sharp curveball. He also threw 87 MPH from the outfield, 86 MPH from the infield, with clean actions in both spots. He flashed legitimate bat speed and power when hitting, as well.

Dylan Goldstein  C - 2019 - Southwest Ranches, FL
Georgia/Chipola College

Goldstein's physical build and frame helps him to generate quality bat speed at the plate, where he shows the ability to backspin the ball and drive it deep into the air to the pullfield. He also worked out well at 1st base, where he threw 80 MPH across the diamond.

Sam Boswell  RHP - 2019 - Atlanta, GA
University of Chicago

Boswell throws from a very tough low three quarters arm slot, working his fastball up to 83 MPH with significant arm side life. He also mixed a sharp, sweeping slider with lots of shape that was very hard to hit for right-handed hitters.

Luke Davis  RHP - 2019 - Seale, AL
Samford

Davis showed some serious arm strength across several positions. He was up to 83 MPH on the mound, and threw 85 MPH across the infield in addition to throwing 84 MPH from the outfield. He showed solid footwork in both defensive spots, as well.


2021 Top Prospects

Asa Runge  LHP - 2021 - Chester, NH
College of Charleston

Runge showed very impressive offensive tools with a gap-to-gap approach and the ability to drive the ball to all fields. He showed good bat speed for his age with rhythm and elasticity into his swing. The incorporation of his lower half helped him generate leverage while working up to the ball.
